Important Information & Disclaimer Notice

Thank you for your entry for the HENLEY HALF MARATHON or 10k.

  1. START and FINISH:
This will be in the BORLASE FIELD adjacent to Henley Rugby Club on the Marlow Road, Henley-on-Thames RG9 2JA. The race will start at 9:30am. Please be ready for assembly at 9:15am as we have a Road Closure order in force the start cannot be delayed for any reason.
We have designated car parking for COMPETITORS ONLY close to the start and finish and it is shown on the course maps. It will be available from 8:00am and the gates will be locked promptly at 1:30pm. The designated car parking area will accommodate about 600 cars and will be available free of charge on a first come first parked basis. Neither the organisers nor Henley Royal Regatta (HRR) will have responsibility for vehicles or their contents whilst parked on or traversing land belonging to HRR. Additional car parking is available in the Town Centre, see course maps.
Refreshments will be available in the Rugby Club House from 7:30am until 1:00pm. Spectators are welcome to take refreshments after 9:30am.
There will be NO NEED for competitors who have received their race packs to register on the day. Entries on the day will be taken in front of the Club House.
  5. COURSE:
The course is mostly flat except for an uphill section of 1.5 miles between Fawley Court and Fawley Village and downhill from Fawley Village to Fawley Bottom. Each mile of the course will be marked.

Fawley Court is now in private ownership and although the Half Marathon route will still go through the grounds, there will be a diversion in deference to the privacy of the new owners. The entrance will still be at South Lodge and will proceed along the tarmac path until the way ahead is blocked by a number of small bollards. At this point, the course will take a sharp left turn (a marshal will be directing) and go across the grassland (the grass will be cut the previous week) until rejoining the tarmac path on the far side. There will be marshals stationed along the route for your guidance. The water station will be sited just where the route rejoins the tarmac path. ENTRANCE TO FAWLEY COURT WILL BE RESTRICTED TO COMPETITORS AND MARSHALS ONLY.

Subject to reception, your time will be on your mobile phone within an hour of your finish. They will also be on our website within 72 hours and in the Henley Standard newspaper during October.
Various types of massage may be available on a fee basis from various points adjacent to the start/finish.
Photographs of the race will be taken for publicity purposes. You understand that your image may be used and give permission freely for it to be used.
